THE BLUE HILL BAY GALLERY is a fine arts gallery located on the main street of Blue Hill, a Maine coastal village and art colony.
A beautiful 1820 brick cape serves as the backdrop for displaying works by nationally-recognized and emerging artists in a diversity of mediums, representing the natural beauty and artistic heritage of Maine, New England and Quebec.
The Gallery is open 10-5 daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and weekends thereafter. On display is an ever-changing selection of paintings by over 30 contemporary artists as well as historical landscapes and seascapes from the 19th and early 20th centuries.
The Gallery Director and photographer, Peter LaFreniere, founded Nature Art in 1996 to promote the appreciation and protection of wild creatures and places. You can take a virtual tour of his best-selling photographic images of Maine by browsing this website. |
Each month will feature contemporary paintings of the New England landscape, as well as our permanent collection of 19th and early 20th century works. Plan a visit and see what unfolds this season in Blue Hill.
